Additional Key Activities Not Related to the Visual Arts:

1986-2017:  US Military; served in (in order) Navy, Navy Inactive Ready Reserve, Army Reserve, and Montana Army National Guard. Total of 22 years in Military Intelligence, 19 years in international affairs (yes, that math does add up; in the Guard you can have two parallel specialties at once!). Final position and rank: State Partnership Program Director (International Affairs), Lieutenant Colonel. Retired as a Major with 31 years continuous service of which 22 & ½ years were active duty (I chose to retire as a Major to move on to… you guessed it; my art career. To retire as a Lieutenant Colonel I would have had to serve an additional 26 months at that rank).

2019-2022:  DoD Civilian Employee, International Affairs, Montana Army National Guard

Aperiodically, 1977-1998 & 2024-2025:  Double Bassist, primarily with Bozeman (MT) Symphony Orchestra and through the current season, with the Butte (MT) Symphony Orchestra
